Happy Birthday Sweet Eliza!

Our god-daughter and child of our sweet friends, turned 1 on Saturday!! It's hard to believe that one year ago I was traveling to Columbia to see Beth and newborn Eliza Grace, 8 months pregnant with Oliver at the time. Chad and I loved being there for the party in Charleston on Saturday. Eliza and Oliver were not alone in the kid category as there were, well who knows how many other children were there, but they were all fun and cute! When Chad commented about how he liked little Benjamin's (Eliza's cousin) tractor shirt, he quickly corrected Chad, telling him it was a backhoe, not a tractor. Duh, Chad. You, of all people, should know that.

Before we headed to Charleston, we spent Thursday and Friday night in LB at my parent's house. It was just the three of us there, and it was a much needed mini vacation. Chad has been working long hours lately, and it was wonderful to get away for a long weekend. We can't wait for many more memories at LB this summer! Oliver is going to be so much fun at the beach this summer. This time he experienced his first bicycle ride, his first fistful of sand in his mouth, and his first ice cream cone.

It was a great weekend overall. We love you Eliza! Happy first Birthday!
