New car, new house, new baby.

When my parents were pregnant with me, they had just bought a new car and built a new house. My grandpa told them, "Now all you need is a new baby." Coincidentally, they were pregnant and could reply, "Actually we have one on the way!" It was their way of announcing the pregnancy.

Just another way Chad and I are living out my parents' lives. The new car came in July, the house in October and the baby is a mere SIX weeks away! This truth is what accounts for my absence from the blogosphere. We've been in our new house almost two weeks now, and we're getting settled in nicely. The move went fairly smoothly and we are so thankful for the ways God has blessed us with this house. We have much more space, are closer to our friends and only have to drive about five minutes to our church for which we are very grateful.

In the meantime, when we've not been moving/working on house projects etc, we've been busy traveling! Imagine that. Yes, we went to Memphis this past weekend to visit the newest member of the Cartner clan. Little Corban was born a week ago today and is as cute as he can be. We were able to be with him all weekend. I'll spare you the horrible travel story, but to summarize, it took about 24 hours for us to get home. A flight to Memphis should only be about two hours, and in this case, even the 8 hour drive would've been more pleasant. Nonetheless, we're back home and working on staying here, getting settled and getting ready for Stetson's arrival.

Unfortunately and fortunately, because of the craziness of the move, we haven't ventured out to many fun, fall events. However, mom and I did get out last week sometime to take Oliver to the zoo. He loved the animals, but was still more intrigued whenever he could find a truck. Anyone know of any good, local truck museums? :) Also, another afternoon Oliver and I made a trip to a local pumpkin patch where we picked out a mama punkin and baby punkin, which he received for free because he's so darn cute. Wonder why they didn't give me mine for free? Anyways, he loves pumpkins, even though he thinks they are "balls." :)

Keep scrolling for pictures of our recent events. Happy Fall!

Well you could drop William off one morning for school. Jay LOVES the carpool line with all the buses and trucks/cars. Last week there was an accident right in front of the school so firetrucks and ambulances--It was the highlight of his day!
